Common failure

Stuck on loading or Loading Localizations

Players report endless logo animation after boot or after Windows wake-from-sleep. Background agents stall, so closing the window alone does not recover the UI.

  1. Step 1

Quit G HUB from the system tray

Use the tray icon exit action so the UI does not leave orphaned agents running.

  2. Step 2

    End leftover processes

In Task Manager, end lghub.exe, lghub_agent.exe, and lghub_updater.exe if they remain.

  3. Step 3

    Restart the updater service

Open Services, locate LGHUBUpdaterService (name may vary slightly by build), restart it, then launch G HUB again.

  4. Step 4

If it still loops, reinstall cleanly

Logitech advanced troubleshooting recommends running the latest installer and choosing Reinstall when a broken install is detected. Manual cleanup may include LGHUB folders under AppData, ProgramData, and Program Files after a reboot.

Settings loss

Profiles reset or fail to switch

Write permission on settings files

  1. Open C:\Users\<you>\AppData\Local\LGHUB.
  2. Open Properties for settings.db and clear Read-only.
  3. Repeat for settings.backup.
  4. On macOS, confirm Read & Write on the same files under ~/Library/Application Support/lghub.

Game executable path drift

  1. Confirm Game & Application Integration is enabled in G HUB settings.
  2. Open the game profile properties and verify the EXE path still matches the install location after Steam or drive moves.
  3. Disable Persistent Profile on the desktop profile if it overrides every game profile.
  4. For a single active title, Lock profile while game is running can reduce background interruptions.

Security software

Antivirus warnings

Bitdefender, Kaspersky, Norton, ESET, and similar tools sometimes quarantine agent binaries or block network access needed for firmware and cloud sync.

  1. Step 1

Verify the installer SHA-256 on the download integrity section.

  2. Step 2

Restore quarantined LGHUB files from the AV console if they were removed mid-install.

  3. Step 3

    Allowlist C:\Program Files\LGHUB\lghub.exe, lghub_agent.exe, and lghub_updater.exe.

  4. Step 4

Retry install. If folders will not delete during cleanup, reboot and remove them before reinstalling.

Stability

Best practices

Before updates

Back up %LocalAppData%\LGHUB or use Local Settings Backup. Do not force-exit while an update is writing files.

Onboard memory

Save a competitive DPI and button set to the mouse when the hardware supports onboard memory, so a G HUB crash does not wipe your core aim settings.

Clean shutdowns

Quit G HUB from the tray before long shutdowns when you have seen corruption after hard power cuts.
